    Itinerary

    Day 1: Casablanca ⇢ Rabat ⇢ Fes

Your 4 days Morocco tour begins in the morning with a convenient pickup from Mohammed V International Airport, your hotel, or any preferred location in Casablanca. One of our friendly and knowledgeable local guides will welcome you and accompany you throughout the entire trip.

Our first stop will be the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, which stands as the largest mosque in Morocco. After touring this magnificent structure, we continue to Rabat, the capital city, where you will explore the historic Hassan Tower, a famous minaret from an unfinished medieval mosque. Nearby, you will also visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Both monuments are protected under Rabat’s UNESCO World Heritage Site listing. Following lunch in Rabat, we drive onward toward Fes. In the evening, you can enjoy dinner in the old town before spending the night in a charming traditional riad located inside the heart of the UNESCO-listed Medina of Fez.

Day 2: Fes ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Middle Atlas Mountains ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Merzouga Desert

After enjoying breakfast at your riad, we depart from Fes and begin our journey toward the Merzouga desert. Our first stop is Ifrane, a picturesque town in the Middle Atlas Mountains often called the Switzerland of Morocco due to its Alpine architecture. After a short visit, we continue driving through the changing mountain landscapes. Along the way, we stop in an ancient cedar forest where you can observe rare Barbary macaques living peacefully in their natural habitat. Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant on the road before we continue toward the desert, crossing the Tizi N Telghemt pass and traveling along the scenic palm groves of the Ziz Valley. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, a small village located right on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, your camel caravan and guide will be waiting to take you on a memorable ride across the Sahara Desert to your desert camp. During the trek, you will pause atop a high dune to admire the peaceful sunset over the vast dunes of Erg Chebbi before continuing to the camp. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a traditional cup of Moroccan tea. Relax in your private tent until dinner is served. After a delicious meal, gather around the campfire with local Berbers, enjoy traditional live music, and experience the culture beneath a spectacular sky full of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Todra Canyon ⇢ Dades Gorges

Waking up early today is highly recommended so you can witness a breathtaking sunrise as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the desert dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you will leave the dunes either by camel or by a comfortable 4×4 vehicle. If the day coincides with Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday, we can stop to visit the traditional Moroccan souk in Rissani. From there, we continue to Tinghir, where we will pause to enjoy panoramic views over lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages. Next, we follow the path of the Todra River until reaching the spectacular Todra Canyon, where towering cliffs rise nearly 300 meters high above the canyon floor. Here you will have open time to walk through the canyon and admire its impressive rock formations. Later, we continue to the Dades Gorges, our final destination for the day. This region was once covered by the sea millions of years ago and still contains large deposits of ancient sediment. You will also enjoy a panoramic view of the famous winding road before heading to your hotel for a relaxing evening. Your total driving distance for the day is around 310 kilometers, which takes around 5 hours of driving time.

Day 4: Dades Gorges ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Marrakech

On the final day of your 4 days desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we begin the journey toward Marrakech after breakfast at your hotel. First, we travel to Ouarzazate through Kalaat M’Gouna, a town famous for its valley that fills with blooming roses during the spring season. Once in Ouarzazate, we will pass by Atlas Studios, the largest film studio in the world, which you may choose to visit if you wish as an optional excursion. Next, we continue to the historic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a remarkable example of traditional southern Moroccan earthen architecture. This fortified village has served as a filming location for many well-known Hollywood productions such as Prince of Persia, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator, and it also appeared as the city of Yunkai in Game of Thrones. After exploring the paths of the kasbah, we drive to Marrakech through the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass at an altitude of 2260 meters above sea level. Several scenic stops will be made along the way before arriving in Marrakech. Your 4 day Morocco tour concludes with a smooth drop-off at your riad in Marrakech.
